The excessive water consumption in regions where this element is scarce, such as the Algarve, will lead in short-term to an unsustainable situation unless measures that lead to it’s use in a more controlled and rational way are taken.

If the function of governments and organizations is to coordinate it and to apply measures to prevent and correct this situation, it is our duty to help improving this situation encouraging the modifying of individual behavior, the change of collective behavior and using well balanced water use solutions.
